The Journey Begins…

In another 10 days we begin our “field trip” to Europe. Several of our faculty, staff, and MBA students will be traveling on separate trips to Portugal and Spain for a week, and then converging in France for another week ending our time with a Thanksgiving celebration!

Why are we doing this?...You may ask… 

The diversity of our students brings a variety of interests and backgrounds that are requiring us to think differently and expand upon the program in order to remain competitive.

The recent shift in the economy, locally and globally, has increased the existing interests in cross cultural relations, global marketing, and overall international business. With 2 of our professors speaking on Entrepreneurship and Microfinance, in Portugal and Spain respectively, we thought what a perfect opportunity to “test the waters” with our first overseas adventure.

… Weekly updates and photos of our trip will be posted… I invite you to come along as we explore Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Paris, Versailles, and Normandy…Not only will we be visiting museums, churches, and shops while learning the history, culture, and customs of the people and their countries… We will also hear from business professionals representing smaller family owned businesses as well as larger firms, and area professors as they share their experience and insight into the economic climate and business practices that are relevant in their country. 

Whether you are a colleague, family member, friend, or student...I hope that you will follow us...we are excited to be able to share our adventure with you and look forward to caputuring much of the flavor, fun, sights, and sounds, of our travels... in our words, photos, and experiences.
